Chapter 17

Gudda started the Monte Carlo up, and smiled as he heard it running. The motor sounded real good and strong, like Duke might have put some money in it. He wouldn’t let Tina know that though. He saw Patrice walking up to his window, so he rolled it down to see what she wanted.

“Have...do you want me to follow you home, so you can park your car, Gudda?”

“No thanks, but thanks for the ride though, and here’s ten dollars for your troubles.” He tried to hand her the money, but she didn’t take it.

“I don’t want your money Gudda, I want to spend some time getting to know you better. So, will I see you later on tonight?”

“Girl, it’s only 1:30p.m. I’ll be out and about all day. I’m coming back to the park also in a few, so you’ll see me and we can talk then.”

“Okay, don’t stand me up cutie.”

“Nah never that, but know just cause I’m young don’t play me; I don't play kid games, I'm bout mine, sexy.”

“I hope so cause I’m sure aiming to find out.” Patrice walked, off smiling and got back in her car. Gudda pulled out behind them and headed to his Great Granny’s house, to see if Tony or Troy was there and to hide his car in her backyard.

Everybody was ducking; running, and bitches were screaming, like they do when shit pop off. Dale looked up to see where the fuck TJ was at and saw somebody had grabbed him, taking his gun from him. Dre ass was on the ground, bleeding like a stuck pig.

“Come on y’all, let’s get the fuck outta here.” They all jumped back in the LTD and hauled ass. Soon as they made it back to the house, Troy told Dale to meet him at little Gates Park so he could stash the car by the baseball diamond. Tony grabbed the guns so he could stash them, then he went in the house to change, while Troy and Dale did their thing. Being smart, soon as he changed, he headed right back to the park, so he could be seen. Soon as he pulled back up in his Regal, he saw Patrice, Carolyn and Tina pulling up too, so he rode up on them.

“What the fuck happen now?”

“We don’t know, we left for a hot minute and came back to this shit,” Patrice told him.

“Damn, that nigga shot again?”

“Who Tony? Don’t tell me, Dre ass?” Carolyn asked him.

“Yea, that’s him laid out on the ground, cause I see Bobbie bent down talking to him.”

“What the fuck happened to your face Tony?” Carolyn asked him.

“I got jump by two bitch ass nigga’z today, but I’m cool though. If you wanna drive me around and take care of me, I’m in need of a driver.”

“Whose car you got me driving?”

“Girl, this ma shit, so are you with me or not?”

“Hell yea. Patrice, I’ll catch up with y’all later. Tony, why you playing Gudda like that though?”

“Fuck! I forgot cuz ass was even out.
